Learning Objectives

We now explore how the Code of Ethics for Museums can support our thinking and practice for audiences in the broadest sense.

By the end you will:

  • understand what ethical practice looks like in relation to public engagement and public benefit
  • be aware of leaders in this ethical area
  • be able to think critically and ethically about situations through an audience lens.

Reflecting Exercise – Learning Objectives

Reflecting on what you specifically want to get out of the course can help you focus your attention and engage more readily with the content.  Reflect on the following questions:

  • What do you want to learn?
  • What do you already know and understand?
  • How can this course help build on this?
  • Who else can help you?

This should take about 15 minutes.

Please record your learning objectives in your notes, we will ask you to reflect on them at the end of the section.
