Doing Exercise – Partnership Development – Endings

In the Community Partners section we explore ways to identify and engage with potential community partners, and look at ways in which we can support community partners and members both of which contribute to the forming and maintaining stages of partnership development.

Ending is an important part of an community partnership.

Preparing both parties and the community members involved for the end of the partnership is essential. An ending done badly can unpick all the good work undertaken to date, can irreparably damage future relationships and partnerships.

Review your reflection notes from previous exercises:

  • What do you have to take into consideration when ending a a community partnership?
  • Are there any risks associated?
  • Who can help? –  Test your thinking with colleagues, peers or others.

This exercise should take about 60 minutes.
