There are a range of assets within the community, for example:
- Community spaces that could be hired to share information about the museum collection.
- Specialist knowledge about people’s experience of being disabled.
- Oral history knowledge
- Insights into cultures or periods of time represented at the museum
- Specific skills and expertise
- With a colleague, a peer, a museum visitor, or someone local you know, create a list, diagram or drawing of some of the assets within the local community that may support partnership working and projects.
This exercise should take about 30 minutes.
