Contact your local volunteer centre/volunteer action centre and find out about upcoming events and networking opportunities that you could participate in.
This could include a funders fair, an outdoor event bringing together local community gardens, a showcase of music made through local charities. As part of this you could put on an activity such as object handling to engage more directly or you could participate informally.
