You know the tasks and activities. You have a preliminary critical path. You know the people. You have an approach to engage and influence them. Your next step is to think about the timeline, how long may things take?
- With colleagues, peers or others explore the outputs to date.
- Re-read project evaluations to identify lessons learned.
- Reflect on case studies and talk to other project leads and learn from their insights.
It is hard to predict how long this exercise will take. It is one of the most important exercises as it brings all the thinking in place to produce an ‘in principle’ next steps document or project plan.
This exercise has been developed with an internal focus to enable you to feel confident about the things you need to consider when developing an approach. All of these elements should be seen as a way of thinking rather than a finished approach, as these will be discussed and developed with potential community partners.
This exercise should take about 60 minutes.
Please record any learning in your reflection notes.
